Finally, power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan has clarified his stand on forming partnerships with other opposition parties in order to defeat the YSR Congress in the next elections.
Pawan Kalyan, speaking to his party workers at Mangalagiri, made a full 180-degree reversal on his party's amicable relations with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
He had merely remarked this morning that he doesn't know many state BJP officials, despite having strong links with the party's national leadership.
He further stated that he had no knowledge of BJP national president J P Nadda's coming to Rajahmundry on June 6 to participate in a rally, and that he had no intention of seeing him.
By the evening, though, he had changed his mind. He stated unequivocally that his party will continue to work with the BJP.
"It is true that there has been a long-standing chasm between the two parties. Because of the Coronavirus, we were unable to start any cooperative programmes. "In the future, we'll figure out join programmes," he stated.
In terms of the TDP-Pawan coalition, Pawan stated it all hinged on the TDP leadership's response.
"Previously, the TDP claimed that it was just exhibiting Jana Sena one-sided affection. It now claims that the upcoming elections will be a one-sided battle. He answered, "Let it determine how it wants to proceed."
He recalled that the Jana Sena had backed the TDP-BJP coalition in the previous election.
"In the past, we took numerous steps back in the interest of the state. This time, it's for the TDP to decrease. It is more important for TDP leaders to remember what the Bible says: "Those who humble themselves will be exalted," he stated.
Pawan stated that he has three coalition options: one, Jana Sena would go to polls in partnership with the BJP; two, Jana Sena will go to polls with the BJP and the TDP together: Third, the Jana Sena will run unopposed in the elections.
"I'll leave it up to the TDP and the BJP to decide," he stated. With his comments, he made it plain that the TDP and Jana Sena will not form an alliance without the BJP's support.
As a result, he does not wish to leave the BJP to join the TDP. The BJP, on the other hand, is unlikely to consent to the TDP entering the coalition!
