Kanumuru Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, a rebel YSR Congress party MP who has been unable to enter his own parliamentary seat of Narasapuram since picking up a fight with party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, is intending to try his luck once again.
Raju is preparing to return to Narasapuram after a nearly two-and-a-half-year absence in honour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's planned visit to Bhimavaram on July 4 to attend the 125th birth anniversary of independence warrior Alluri Sitarama Raju.
He is required to attend the function since he is a local MP, according to procedure. And it appears that his name has been considered by the PMO's office. As a result, he will have a distinct edge.
However, Raju is concerned that if he enters the constituency, the Jagan government would not abandon him.
Obviously, he has to get at Bhimavaram a few days ahead of time to oversee the plans, and this is ample time for the Jagan government to arrest him in some way.
As a result, Raju wrote to the Union Home Ministry, requesting that he be given greater protection so that no one may harm him.
If he receives the necessary security, he may arrive a few days ahead of schedule. Otherwise, he would have accompanied the Prime Minister.
